WaterSentinel WSM-1 Refrigerator Water Filter: The Water Sentinel WSM-1 Refrigerator Filter is an economical filter that will provide fresh, clean tasting water and ice cubes. The WaterSentinel WSM1 is a replacement filter for Maytag/Puriclean/Jenn-Air refrigerator filter cartridges. The WSM-1 refrigerator filter will remove or reduce chlorine taste and odor. The WaterSentinel WSM-1 refrigerator water filter contains a compressed carbon block which provides tremendous capacity to remove and/or reduce impurities and sediment that may be present in your drinking water. The carbon block has millions of active sites on it's surface and within the structure which can absorb impurities like a sponge, and can adsorb and hold other types of impurities on it's surface like a magnet. The WSM-1 filter can catalytically breakdown other impurities very similar to the way a catalytic converter works in your automobile. The Water Sentinel WSM-1 Refrigerator Replacement Filter does not remove minerals which may be beneficial to health. The Water Sentinel WSM-1 water filter should not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality, without adequate disinfection before and/or after the filter. The WaterSentinel WSM-1 refrigerator filter is designed to provide up to six months of life or 416 gallons. The Water Sentinel WSM-1 Refrigerator Replacement Water Filter has been tested by the manufacturer against ANSI/NSF Standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine Tastes and Odors.
